Spiced Coffee RecipesIdeas for adding some spicy flavors to your coffeeAdding some spice to your usual cup of coffee is easy. A few cloves, a pinch of cinnamon or even some whole fennel seeds can really create a whole new cup of coffee.
There are lots of ways to improve on basic cup of coffee, and my personal favourite is to add a dash of spice. I love a hint of cinnamon, cloves or nutmeg. As I mentioned in an earlier blog, adding whole spices before you brew is a good way to do this. So today, here are a few recipes for spiced coffee. These are all for coffee served hot so these drinks will really keep you warm during these cold winter days. Fragrant Spiced Coffee
Blend together brown sugar, cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon (use ground spices, not whole). Mix coffee and cream together with the spice mixture. Serve hot. Serves 4. Mediterranean Coffee
Combine all the ingredients, and brew by your favorite method. Using a french press or a plunger pot is the traditional brewing style for this particular coffee recipe. Makes 1-2 cups of coffee. Sweet Fennel Coffee
Mix coffee and spices, and brew by your preferred method. Add the sugar to your finished cup for that sweet touch. Also serves 1 or 2. Recipes courtesy of the Steaming Cup
